Week 5: Comparative Religions

What do the world’s major religions believe, and how do they shape cultures, values, and everyday life? This course offers a thoughtful and engaging introduction to religions from around the globe, including their origins, core beliefs, practices, and traditions. We’ll explore similarities and differences between belief systems, discuss how religion influences history and society, and build a deeper understanding of diverse worldviews. Whether you’re familiar with one religion or curious about many, this class encourages curiosity, respect, and meaningful conversations about faith, culture, and humanity. Week 5: Comparative Religions Virtual Institute meets: online Monday-Friday 3:00 - 4:00 PM Eastern from July 20 - July 24 Cost: $100 This online class is part of our Virtual Institute series, a set of 8 weeks of learning designed to allow learners of ALL communicative abilities a way to learn and engage with spellers from around the world. We discount our rate to just $20 per class to make our educational opportunities more accessible. Each class will feature instruction and opportunities to respond. Teachers will provide words to spell, reasoning questions with 2 choices, reasoning questions with predictable responses, and open-ended questions. Learners are encouraged to participate as much as they like and to participate in ways that work best for them. Your teacher will email the zoom link with additional class information the week before class starts. A recording will be provided to all registered participants in case your preference is asynchronous participation.
