Alexys Berry joined the Reach Every Voice team in the fall of 2024 as an intern and has been building her skills by assisting in Co-Op and leading individual sessions.

Before coming to REV, Alexys worked as a nurse for nine years at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital in the NICU/PICU and at Frederick Health Hospital in hospice care, bringing a depth of experience in supporting children and families with compassion and dedication.

As the mother of three children, including her daughter Charlotte who is a speller, Alexys has seen firsthand the power of presuming competence and ensuring access to communication. She is deeply committed to spreading awareness about inclusion and advancing opportunities for autistic individuals to be fully recognized as capable learners and communicators.

In addition to her work at REV, Alexys is a gifted photographer who captures moments with creativity and care. She looks forward to continuing to grow her skills to become a communication teacher and to play a role in expanding access, dignity, and equity for nonspeaking and partially speaking students.
