An estimated 40 percent of autistic individuals do not use spoken language reliably. We can help.

Our teachers use multiple strategies to provide direct instruction with scaffolded supports to teach individuals who are non-speaking or have unreliable verbal abilities to express themselves with alternative communication. We value an approach that centers multimodal communication, ensuring students have access to many different forms of communication to meet their needs.

The COVID-19 pandemic fundamentally changed the way we interacted with our clients. We now offer ongoing online courses designed for students who spell and type to communicate.

Join us for classes focusing on building independent typing skills, academic writing, film study, science topics, history explorations, and more!

Our self-paced Accessible Academics course introduces educators and parents to strategies for adapting age-appropriate academic content for nonspeaking students who communicate by making choices.

Watch real models of teaching at your own pace and walk away with things you can do immediately to help your child or student demonstrate understanding in new ways.

In-Person Group Programs

Our weekend and Summer Institutes bring together individuals who have already developed communication skills to explore a curriculum based on their own interests, play age-appropriate games, and build relationships with other spellers and typers.

Co-Op offers a unique opportunity for students to participate in a small group setting that also provides coaching for communication support partners.

At-home communication practice is crucial for success. Our team has developed hundreds of lessons with scaffolded question sets to allow communicators of all abilities to engage with rich, interesting content.

We also have our Speller's Companion Guides which are already scaffolded question sets to accompany popular homeschool resources.

Students who spell or type to communicate face unique challenges when applying for and attending higher education. This 3-day workshop prepares autistic students who spell or type to communicate to transition to higher education.
